Journalism contest for students

The Luxembourgish daily newspaper Tageblatt in partnership with the SEW/OGBL (Education and Science Syndicate of the OGBL) are excited to announce a writing contest for students in secondary schools this year.

Selected articles are going to be printed and published in a special edition of the Tageblatt in mid-July 2025. Moreover, specific articles are going to be featured in the SEW/OGBL union newspaper in October 2025. Prizes will be awarded to the top three articles per age category. Articles can be written individually or by up to 4 contributors.

On request a class can be assisted by a professional journalist during the writing process. This one-off supportive measure will take place in the shape of an in-class visit. Teachers can address their request via email to redaction@tageblatt.lu (preferably several days in advance).

Restrictions on the use of mobile phones in secondary schools

The use of mobile phones will soon be restricted in secondary schools in Luxembourg.
